ETHsustainability, in collaboration with the Charles University and other regional partners from Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia and Poland, is pleased to announce the opening of the application process for the 2006 Youth Encounter on Sustainability-YES Central and Eastern Europe.
The two week course will be held in Rohace-Zuberec, Slovakia, in September 2006 under the umbrella theme of "Living for 10 Billion People by 2050". Approximately 40 places are available, of which up to 25 are reserved for the participants from the target region, which covers Central and Eastern Europe, Balkans and Central Asia. The course is designed for upper level undergraduate and graduate students from all academic disciplines and aims to sensitize participants to the complex issues of sustainable development. The course will be held in English.
Location: Rohace-Zubere, Slovakia
Dates: September 08 to 25, 2006
There is the potential for participants from the target region to take part in two follow up phases - "Learning through Experience" and "Special YES course on Leadership". More information on the follow up courses will be available in the middle of 2006.
